The Thumb Nail On The Left Foot Is Blackish Blue?
I want to ask why my toenails are dark in the left foot, then now the foot skin lesion is right next to the tip of the nail like it splits slightly suddenly. Initially, the ring finger which was first wounded on the tip of the nail, now the thumb also went along with the cut to the skin. This is me, please explain
Dark / black nails accompanied by sores near the nails can be caused by the following conditions:
Previous injury history
Fungal infections and bacterial infections
Other medical conditions: endocarditis, diabetes, kidney disorders, heart problems, anemia
Handling of dark nails and wounds around the nails depends on the cause. I suggest that you consult a dermatologist directly so that you can see and examine your nails to determine the cause of dark nails and sores around the nails. If the cause is confirmed, the doctor can provide a more appropriate treatment for you.
While waiting to see a doctor, you can do the following tips:
If you have an injury (for example), you can compress your nails with cold water to reduce pain
Keep the area around the nail clean
If there are wounds can be cleaned with antibacterial soap
Avoid using nail polish or artificial nails
Hope it helps you,
