The Upper Abdomen Feels Full?
Good morning, 3 days after my upper stomach feels uncomfortable, sometimes the pain spreads to my back and defecation is only a little and soft, even though eating a normal portion, how to overcome it?
Hello Good Student,
Thank you for the question.
The feeling of comfort in the upper abdomen accompanied by pain leads to the back and bowel movements that can be caused by a variety of things, such as:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Irritable bowel syndrome.
Inflammatory bowel disease.
This is usually influenced by diet, excessive gas production, and activity and stress factors. Here are the things you can do to reduce these complaints:
Taking stomach acid medications such as antacids.
Eat frequently but in small portions, and eat slowly.
Eat foods that contain lots of fiber.
Reducing foods that contain lots of gas such as beans, cabbage, cauliflower, milk, dairy products, soft drinks, sour, spicy foods.
Consuming probiotic drinks.
Avoid lying down after eating.
Enough sleep 7-9 hours per day, exercise regularly, and manage stress well.
If the discomfort is accompanied by chest pain such as being crushed, spreading to the arms, and nausea / vomiting or cold sweat, contact your doctor immediately.
Hopefully this information can help and hopefully your condition gradually improves.
