The Upper Lip Is Dry And Feels Hot?
My upper lip feels very dry and when I eat spicy it immediately feels hot and sore. I have tried rubbing honey on my lips, but the results are still the same. How can I prevent my lips from drying out again and not being hot when eating hot ?? r n
Hello! Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Lips can become dry due to lack of fluids or sun exposure. To prevent dry and chapped lips, here are steps you can take.
Use a lip balm containing sunscreen before you leave the room. For more optimal protection, you can add a mask or other protection. Make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Drink more if you are on the move outdoors or in a room with air conditioning (AC). Don't lick or bite your lip. Saliva can dry out your lips even more. Don't breathe through your mouth. Breathe in through your nose. Our body has a mechanism to humidify the incoming air if we breathe through our nose. Avoid using cosmetics or other products that can irritate your lips.
If your lips still feel dry and chapped, you should consult a dermatologist.
That is the information that I can convey. I hope this helps.
