The Use Of AC For Babies Under 1 Month Of Age?
Good evening, I am Imas mother of a 3 week old baby. I want to ask, what is the right temperature for the use of air conditioners for babies? I usually use temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius but tomorrow my baby gets bloated … And what if I use a fan?
Hello, good evening. Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
The use of air conditioners or fans can be used on babies this is to create a comfortable temperature for the baby to rest so that it can avoid an overheating condition that can cause the baby to become agitated, fussy, sweaty and can even cause bunter or miliary sweat conditions. But it should also be avoided conditions that are too cold because it can happen the baby becomes cynical, pale until the condition of body temperature drops is called hypothermia.
For the best use of air conditioners is 18-20 degrees Celsius, especially for babies who are still with a swaddling and blanket use. Whereas for over 2 years, the temperature that can be used for the AC temperature is 23-26 degrees Celsius where the clothes used are pajamas and thin blankets. Avoid the use of AC that directly leads to the baby's body. It is also important to adjust the temperature periodically, for example if the room feels too cold, raise the temperature.
For fan users it is also permissible but the most important thing is prevention for the wind from the fan directly exposing your child's condition.
The important thing to note about the loss of water in the body by heat through sweating should be to meet adequate fluid requirements with breast milk or MPASI in children older than 6 months.
So that we can say hopefully useful thanks
