The Use Of Collagen Along With Hypertension Drugs?
Hello, I am Ade, 28 years old, I suffer from hypertension, but I take Amlodipine 5 mg every night before going to bed. Here I want to ask if it is safe for me to take skin and facial lightening supplements such as Collagen which is sold freely and if I take it together with my hypertension medication is it safe too? Thank you for your response.
Collagen belongs to the group of protein fibers that have uses as a basic material for the formation of skin, cartilage, bones, teeth, muscles, and other connective tissues. Nowadays, collagen is widely consumed as a supplement to improve skin integrity which in general will certainly improve a person's appearance. Regarding its consumption at the same time as the antihypertensive consumption of amlodipine, theoretically there is not much literature that discusses this issue. There is some literature that says that the consumption of collagen brings a positive side, namely it can prevent the narrowing of blood vessels, which contributes to the occurrence of hypertension. However, regarding the consumption of collagen and amlodipine itself, no one has clearly discussed the rules or side effects. However, we recommend that you consume it with a considerable distance between the consumption of amlodipine and collagen. It is even better if you consult directly with your doctor first. Here we attach an article about collagen. May be useful.
