The Vagina Feels Sore When Menstruation?
if the vagina feels painful when menstruating is not normal right?
Hello Siti Hodijah,
Each period before menstruation we can feel a number of different symptoms which are referred to as premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Symptoms of PMS that are commonly found are:
The breast feels tense
Diarrhea or constipation
Emotions are overflowing
Changes in appetite
PMS symptoms are thought to arise due to changes in the body's hormonal balance, changes in chemicals in the brain, and can also appear in women who experience depression disorders.
While pain in the vagina is generally not a part of PMS. Usually vaginal pain can result from vulvitis caused by the following disorders or diseases:
Chronic pain in the vulva area (outer area around the genitals and urethra)> 3 months. It feels like burning or burning sensation. Pain can become heavy when the vulva is touched.
Cyclic vulvodinia can occur following the menstrual cycle. Pain in the vulva can increase just before menstruation and during menstruation.
Fungal infections - vaginal candidiasis
Bacterial infection - bacterial vaginosis
Malignancy in the vulva
If the painful vaginal complaints appear accompanied by complaints of smelling vaginal discharge, yellowish greenish / grayish / brownish, spotting of blood outside the menstrual cycle, emergence of lumps or lumps around the vagina, pain during intercourse, you should further check with your doctor. Doctors need to do a direct examination to see whether there are abnormalities in the vulva and vagina, and determine the necessary investigations such as vaginal smears, pap smears, colposcopy, and so on.
Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
