The Vagina Widens After Giving Birth?
I want to ask … My child has been 16 months but I feel the stitches after giving birth I still feel pain when I open my thighs too wide … and I feel my vaginal opening is now too wide until I can see my vaginal preformance when I squat … is that fair? Thank you
Hello Emmy, thanks for asking.
Pain is actually subjective. That is, some people may have a lower pain threshold than others. In addition, the pain is also influenced by past experience or trauma. For example, if labor is difficult, there may be trauma that causes you to feel pain even though there may not actually be any abnormalities. Anatomically and functionally, if the delivery process was 16 months ago, there will be no more pain, because all tissues have experienced healing.
You have to make sure first what you see is the inside of the vagina or the inside of the pubic lips (labia). In some people, the labia can appear wider, especially in women who have given birth. Once again, anatomically, it is very unlikely to see the inside of the vagina because the vagina is always in a tight position.
You should consult an obstetrician. The doctor will do an examination and ascertain whether there is indeed a wound or infection that causes your vaginal pain. The doctor will also confirm how your vagina is currently shaped.
Such an answer can help a little. Regards.
