The Way To Good Wound Care?
Afternoon, I am vivi. If we use the wrong sodium chloride on the wound, flush the wound using sodium chloride, not nacl. what reaction or effect will it have?
Hi Vivi, Thank you for the question.
Good wound care can help the wound healing process run well. Part of good wound care is cleaning the wound from dirt. The fluids that can be used to clean the wound are intravenous fluids (normal saline / sodium chloride / NaCl) or antiseptic solutions (if the wound appears infected). Sodium chloride stands for NaCl. That way, the liquid you use is not wrong. After cleaning the wound, you can apply an antibiotic ointment if the wound looks infected and then cover the wound with gauze and bandage. You can change the dressing for the wound every day or if the gauze is dirty or wet. For wounds that are deep and open, you should immediately consult a doctor for further treatment. Do not hesitate to consult a doctor immediately if the wound does not heal or shows signs of infection such as redness, swelling, pain that gets worse, appears pus, or you have a fever.
Hope this information helps.
