The Wound Produces White Discharge Like Pus After Scratching It Frequently?
Hello I am 25 years old nurtifiah at first I scratched my calf that was bumped. Because of mosquitoes but for a long time I noticed even white discharge like pus and more here this wound. please help, what disease do I have? And the medicine that I can buy at any pharmacy now every time I have a new wound that I scratch so there is pus like that
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically the wound that emits pus indicates that the wound has an infection. Frequently scratching a wound that has not healed will increase the risk of infection in the wound. Infected wounds must be managed by cleaning the wound until it is completely clean and also therapy using antibiotics (either oral or topical). Antibiotics are hard drugs so you cannot buy them yourself at a pharmacy without a prescription from a doctor. You should check with your doctor for further evaluation and treatment of your injury.
The following are some things you can do:
DO NOT scratch your wound again Clean your wound daily using sterile saline. If there is pus or dirt on the wound, gently rub the wound using sterile gauze while continuing to water using sterile saline. Dry the wound with aerial only. Apply antibiotic ointment your doctor) then cover with sterile gauze or with a wound bandage (if your wound is still small enough) Change your gauze every day, or replace it more often if the gauze is wet with water, sweat, or pus. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly with soap. clean thoroughly before and after treating the wound
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
