Therapy To Treat Cardiogenic Shock?
Tonight, I want to ask, are there therapies that can be done in cardiogenic shock? What are the treatments? Please explain, thanks
Hi, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com
Cardiogenic shock is an emergency condition that requires immediate treatment. Occurs because the heart muscle cannot pump blood throughout the body which is often caused by a heart attack, cardiac tamponade and heart failure. This condition is characterized by blood pressure below 90 mmHg, increased pulse rate, fast and short breathing, cold feet and hands, no urinating or oblique, but little and decreased consciousness.
In this condition, sufferers need to get basic and continued life support. These include, administration of oxygen and breathing aids (ventilators) if needed, fluids and drugs to increase blood pressure and the ability of the heart muscle to pump blood. Furthermore, treatment is needed for the cause, for example, a ring on the coronary arteries if the cause is coronary heart disease. Intensive treatment and monitoring are needed, so patients must be treated in an intensive care unit (ICU) under the supervision of a cardiologist and anesthetist.
Thus hopefully useful.
