Good afternoon .. r nI want to ask, is it okay if the baby doesn’t get the fourth drop of polio vaccine? R nPlease answer

1 Answer:

Hello Rini, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com

The drip polio vaccine is recommended to be given 4 times, namely at 0-1 months, 2 months, 3 months, and 4 months, and is equipped with a booster vaccine at 18 months of age. Apart from the drip polio vaccine, babies are also recommended to be given injectable polio vaccine (IPV) at least once.

This vaccination schedule should be completed so that the baby gets maximum protection from polio virus infection. If the vaccination is not completed, the immune system that will be formed from the vaccine will not be formed completely and the baby will have the risk of getting polio virus infection.

You can see the vaccination schedule from IDAI at this link

So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
