There Is A White Object Inside The Hollow Gum Seam?
Hello doc, a week ago I was operating for tooth extraction, after opening the gum seam with a hole and I checked there was a white object inside? What is that, doc? If maybe the food comes in, may I pull it out, or better not.
Hello, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com
The white you see may be leftover food attached, but it may also be the supporting bone of the tooth. You should not try to lift or pry. You can gargle using warm salt water. If the white part is leftover food, it will be lifted by gargling.
Cavities formed in tooth extractions can close by themselves. Brush your teeth gently by using a brush with soft bristles so as not to add to the wound which can prolong healing of open gums. Although it can close itself, keep control with your dentist so that the doctor can always evaluate the treatment that you have been through. In addition, supporting bones exposed to the external environment are at risk of infection or periodontitis, therefore you need regular control.
Thus hopefully useful.
