There Were No Lumps After BCG Immunization?
my baby got bcg immunization 2 weeks ago. But why didn’t there appear to be lumps or wounds on the injection marks. Why is that? Is it necessary to have another injection?
Hello Rina, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Bumps after BCG injection can appear because of the immune reaction that appears in the injection area. This lump generally appears after BCG injection, but not in everyone. Some people who get BCG don't have any skin reactions, and this doesn't mean the BCG vaccine doesn't work. BCG vaccination also does not always cause injection scars. As long as they are injected in the right way, your child will not need re-injections even if they do not develop lumps or scars from the injection.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
