Throat Feels Itchy?
at morning. I want to ask, I have had an itchy throat for almost 3 months now. Until I cough. Sometimes a day it itch again, sometimes a day not at all. I once checked TB by checking my phlegm but the results were negative. The doctor said I am allergic to weather. I was given medicine, but a week later it recurred. Is this a symptom of TB?
Itchy throat can be triggered by various causes ranging from irritation due to allergens, food, flu, infections of the respiratory tract, sore throat, tonsillitis and other causes. Itchy throat due to allergies itself can be triggered by cold weather, dust, cigarette smoke, oily food, sweet food, cold drinks, and others.
To overcome this it is necessary to avoid the allergens that trigger it, if you are in the open air also use a mask to protect you from exposure to allergens, make your room or your home cleaner from dust so as not to trigger allergies, besides drinking more water and Avoid oily foods, sweet foods, sugary drinks or those that are too cold. If necessary you can also take lozenges to reduce itching, antihistamines and pain relievers can also be used if necessary. You can also gargle with warm salt water and some other natural remedies to relieve an itchy throat. If your symptoms do not improve, you can consult an ENT specialist or also do an allergy test to find out the cause you are experiencing.
Tuberculosis or TB itself has symptoms including cough for more than 3 weeks, weight loss, cough mixed with blood, fever, night sweats, chest pain and decreased appetite. To diagnose it yourself through examination of sputum samples and other examinations such as blood tests or X-rays.
