Throat Problem

Hello Doc. I want to ask. From yesterday I felt itching in the esophagus but not coughing. There is no sign of “fever or high body temperature. But in the middle of the chest feels tight. Please help Doc. What does it hurt?
1 Answer:
Hi,
The onset of itching in the throat can be caused by various things, namely:
Respiratory tract irritation from smoke, pollution or chemical exposure
Eat foods that are too oily or spicy
Inflammation or throat infection
Respiratory tract infections
Throat irritation or inflammation due to certain medical conditions, for example throat irritation due to exposure to stomach acid (LERD / GERD). This condition can also cause shortness and heartburn in the chest
A direct examination is needed to ascertain the cause of your complaint so you should consult a doctor if the complaint persists or worsens. The doctor will ask for a history of your complaints, do a physical examination or supporting examinations such as throat swabs or x-rays if needed.
If the complaint is caused by airway irritation, your doctor may recommend that you use a mask when on the move and prescribe medications to help reduce complaints such as taking antihistamine drugs or dextrometrofan to reduce coughing (if any). If the complaint is caused by a bacterial infection, the doctor will prescribe appropriate antibiotics and symptomatic drugs (symptomatic) to treat the complaint.
The following recommendations for you:
Avoid conditions that can trigger complaints
Enough rest
Avoid consumption of fried foods or foods that can trigger itching in the throat
Consumption of enough water, at least 2-3 liters per day
Immediately consult a doctor if complaints persist or worsen
May be useful.
