Tingling Feet Are Numb After Surgery?
, a month ago I had an accident so there were wounds around my ankles. The wound is quite wide and deep even there are broken veins so that surgery. Now I feel all the soles of the feet as if numb. Toes can be moved even if not optimal. At this time the seams are not perfect yet to dry so that the feet cannot tread, still stiff. Is this fair? Then what can I do? Besides still having to control the surgeon do I have to also check with a neurologist? Explanation please. And thanks for the answer. May doctors and family always be abundant in His grace. Aamiin
Hello Any, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Let me introduce myself, Dr. Rio will answer your question.
The cause of your complaint cannot be ascertained without doing a direct examination, the names of several possibilities that cause tingling, and difficulty moving your feet can be caused by several things, namely:
Surgical wound infection. Severe tissue damage, sometimes healing is not perfect. Bleeding and damage to blood vessels. Chronic joint pain. Damage to nerve tissue. The next time you consult a surgeon you can ask about your complaints, you may need physiotherapy after the surgical wound has completely healed. Right now what you can do is:
Get enough rest. Keep exercising your feet to move slowly, avoid standing still for too long when there is a history of surgery because it can cause confusion. Be careful when driving or doing activities to avoid repeated trauma. That's all my answer. Thank you :)
