Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Gonorrhea is the term for infection caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae. This infection is transmitted primarily through risky sexual activity, for example due to sexual intercourse with partners who have no clear sexual history, sexual intercourse with more than 1 partner, and also not using condoms during sexual intercourse. This transmission does not occur only when it occurs due to sexual intercourse which involves penetration of the penis to the vagina only. Both oral sex and anal sex can also cause transmission of these bacteria. Therefore, not only can it infect the genital area, gonorrhea can also affect the urinary tract, anus, oral cavity, or even the eyes.
Symptoms of gonorrhea in the throat, also known as gonococcal pharyngitis, are generally less typical. Most sufferers will only complain of mild symptoms such as common sore throat, which are pain in the throat, throat and tonsils that are red and swollen, cough, and a sensation of phlegm in the back of the oral cavity. However, in more severe conditions, gonorrhea in the throat can also cause the tonsils and throat to be covered by a whitish membrane that resembles pus and swollen lymph nodes in the neck area.
If you or your husband experience these symptoms, you should check your complaint directly to a doctor or ENT specialist. By direct physical examination, or assisted by laboratory tests and tissue sampling from the throat to be examined microscopically, doctors can generally identify the infection. which is caused by gonorrhea or other microorganisms. If it is true that your complaint occurs due to gonorrhea infection in the throat, the doctor can provide antibiotics and other medicines according to the complaints that arise.
Hope it helps ..
