Transmission Of TB Disease?
Ass, I’m Amelia. I went to LN and had a roommate with TB and is currently being treated at the hospital for 2 weeks. My question is is it okay if my friend comes home from his hospitalization and returns to another room with me? Because I know that tuberculosis is a contagious disease and should be routinely treated for 6 months Thank you 🙂
Hello, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com
TB is an infection caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis which can attack various organs and locations on the human body. It is important to know and remember that not all TB diseases can be contagious, generally only pulmonary and laryngeal TB can be transmitted to other humans. In addition, TB is generally not contagious.
Pulmonary and laryngeal tuberculosis is transmitted through air splashes and fluids containing TB germs that come out of the patient's airways when coughing, sneezing, or talking. With adequate treatment therapy, good and effective can reduce the risk of transmission to others after undergoing effective treatment for 2-3 weeks.
However, the treatment of TB is a little different from the treatment of infections in general, which treatment of TB requires intensive treatment every day in a longer time that is 6-12 months depending on the body's response from each person.
Some things you can do:
While maintaining personal hygiene and the environment
Maintain a good lifestyle and diet
Consuming multivitamins to increase endurance
Regular and regular exercise
Open the window of the house every morning so that sunlight comes in and the air circulates
So much information from me, hopefully it helps
