Treating Blindness Due To Exposure To Rice Since Childhood?
Hello, When I was little my eyes were exposed to rice, after 6 years old it seemed that my eyes were blind. Until now even my right eye could not see anything … Could my right eye be treated ….
Hello Akbar, thank you for asking.
It is actually difficult for us to be able to provide directed advice, without knowing your history clearly and without conducting a physical examination. I am not really sure, what you mean by being exposed to rice, is that your eyes have been scratched by rice so that the wound is quite heavy, or is there something else. If a scratch or tear wound caused by a sharp pierced part of a rice stem, occurs in the cornea, then it is possible when healing occurs scar tissue which then covers the cornea. Scarring can cause vision loss. Also, the wound is severe enough that the cornea is completely damaged and the eye loses sight.
Another possibility is that the wound caused by rice causes an infection in the inside of the eye, causing damage to the eye components and loss of vision. Or, there is indeed another process that is not related to rice sticking, which causes damage to the eyeball.
To find out whether your eyes can be cured or not, you should consult an eye doctor. The doctor must determine first, where the actual damage occurred. If damage occurs to the cornea, it is possible to be healed if there is a corneal donor. If damage occurs to the lens, it is possible that the lens can be replaced with an artificial lens. However, if damage occurs to the retina or eye nerve, then no action can be taken. Therefore, it is very important for you to consult with an eye doctor.
Thus the information that I can share, I hope you benefit. Regards.
