Treating Fungus On Toenails?
What is the cure for fungal toenails due to soil entering after going down to the fields
Thanks for the question. Nail fungus, also known as onychomycosis in medical language, is characterized by the appearance of white or yellow spots on the nails which can then expand and cause changes in the color and shape of the nails (become thickened). Moldy nails also cause brittle nails. Toenail fungus is more likely to occur if you have an injury to your nails, are in a humid environment, your feet are sweaty, for example from wearing shoes, your feet or hands are often exposed to water, you often walk barefoot, or you have certain medical conditions such as diabetes. Please check with your doctor first to make sure you don't receive inappropriate treatment. The doctor needs to check the condition of your nails, if they are still not sure, the doctor will do nail scraping for examination in the laboratory. If the nail fungus is proven, there are several treatments that can be given, for example an antifungal drug in the form of cream, abota antifungal tablets, antifungal medication in the form of nail polish, nail removal, or laser treatment.
In the meantime please you always use footwear. Avoid moist conditions on the feet, make sure the feet are always dry and clean. If you must wear shoes, remove them periodically.
Hope this information is useful.
