Probiotics are a type of diet that contains live microorganisms that are beneficial to health and are not pathogenic to the body.
Intestinal TB or intestine TB is an infection of the digestive tract caused by infection with TB germs. Intestinal TB infection is tuberculosis outside the lungs that can occur primarily, or the distribution of other TB focus.
Some of the conditions below can be complained in patients with intestinal TB, viz
1. an upset stomach
2. weight loss
3. Accompanied or not a long cough / TB lung or TB gland
4. diarrhea
5. anemia
6. Nausea, vomiting
7. fever
For the diagnosis of intestinal tuberculosis, consultation is carried out directly with the doctor of internal medicine, so that the doctor can carry out the diagnosis by interviewing, physical examination, supporting examinations either by blood or radiology examinations such as MRI and endoscopy. If intestinal tuberculosis has been confirmed, then intestinal tuberculosis treatment will be given according to national standards.
In connection with your question, some research and writing related to the use of probiotics in tuberculosis patients, in general can be used, and this does not affect the severity of intestinal TB disease. The use of probiotics can support the treatment of TB that has been given, and maintain intestinal health, thus helping recovery in patients with intestinal TB therapy.
However, however, because you are in the period of treatment and under the supervision of the doctor who treats you, then you should also discuss with the doctor who treats you. This way, your doctor also knows that you are also taking probiotics regularly. Thus, the process of care and treatment can run well.
Thus the info we can convey.
