Treatment For Scabies On The Buttocks?
How do you get rid of scabies that is on the buttocks?
Hello, good morning Fransiska.
Beforehand, you need to ascertain whether the condition you are experiencing is really scabies? Is the diagnosis of scabies a diagnosis from a doctor? What symptoms are you experiencing and feeling?
Scabies (scabies) is a disease caused by infection with a mite named Sarcoptes scabiei. These mites infect human skin, then tunnel under the outer layer of the human skin, causing a red, itchy rash (especially at night). These rashes accompanied by itching usually rarely only affect one area of the body (for example, only the buttocks), but usually complaints occur in many areas of the body or even the whole body. Complaints of rash and itching in scabies generally appear between the fingers, armpits, wrists, elbows, around the breasts, around the nipples, palms, soles of the feet, groin, buttocks, and intimate organs.
Treatment for scabies is to use creams or lotions that contain permethrin, sulfur precipitatum and salicylic acid, lindane, crotamiton, and so on. These drugs act as insecticides which are expected to kill the mites. As explained above, scabies usually causes complaints throughout the body, therefore the use of scabies cream / lotion is used evenly throughout the body (except the face), starting from the neck down, and left alone for at least 8 hours (because it is usually this drug used at night before bed). The use of drugs for scabies varies, some have to be used for 3 consecutive days, or 1 day and repeated a week later. The choice of therapy is generally adjusted to the patient's condition, namely age, pregnant / not, and whether or not there is secondary infection.
For that, we suggest that you first consult your skin disorder to a dermatologist to determine whether what you are experiencing is indeed scabies and what treatment should be given. While waiting for the schedule to see a doctor, avoid using clothes, towels, and sleeping mats together, to avoid transmission to other people.
That's all, I hope this helps
