Treatment For Swollen Eyelids, Runny And Red?
, I have had eye pain for 5 days, which I feel for the sore drops, swelling of the eyelids and eye bags, runny, and red. I have moved doctors twice, what’s the solution?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Eyes that feel sore, swollen, runny, and redness may be caused by inflammation of the components of your eye. The components that experience inflammation can vary, starting from the outer ie eyelids or conjunctiva, to the deeper ones such as the uvea tract, cornea, layers of the eyeball, and so on. The cause of this inflammation can be due to allergies, irritation, foreign body entry, infection, inappropriate use of contact lenses, chemical splashes, and so on.
Here are some types of conditions that often trigger complaints as you experience at this time:
Blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids)
Preseptal cellulitis (inflammation of the soft tissue around the eye)
Conjunctivitis (inflammation of the lining of the eye)
Uveitis (inflammation of the uvea tract)
Keratitis (inflammation of the cornea of the eye)
Panophthalmitis, endofthalmitis, migraine, injury, cluster headache, allergies, and so on
If it is true that after 5 days your complaint has appeared, it has also been checked by a doctor, but it still has not improved, we suggest, check yourself back to the eye specialist, right? The handling that will be given later can vary depending on the cause of your complaint.
The initial solution you should do:
Avoid holding eyes with dirty hands
Compress your eyes with cold water or a cooled spoon
Clean secretions coming out of the eyes with warm water
Use eyeglasses to protect your eyes from intruding foreign objects
Never read small print, stare at a gadget, or drive for too long
Raise your head when sleeping so that the swelling in the eyes decreases
Don't cry too much
Not always using excessive contact lenses or cosmetics around the eyes
Hope this helps ...
