Treatment For Vaginal Discharge Does Not Go Away?

doctor… I (25 years old) just married 3 months, I experienced continuous vaginal discharge and even before marriage at the age of 22 I was diagnosed with pelvic inflammation because I didn’t menstruate for 6 months (diagnosed by a doctor through ultrasound) but was declared cured, after getting married at the age of 6 months. I was married for 1 month, I took birth control pills (consulting a doctor) and had a vaginal yeast infection and cervical erosion because the vaginal discharge was itchy (the result of a doctor’s diagnosis), after that I experienced Bleeding during HB, I already got Papsmir results, microscopically the cervical smear found cells squamous with cervical thorax, background of leukocytes and dendolin bacilli, impression that no malignant cells were found and Pap smear is recommended after 12 months, but what I want to know is why I still have vaginal discharge and sometimes pain in the lower abdomen and thighs..rnThe question is, Can all infections/cancer/STDs/polyps etc be assessed from the results of the Pap Smir test alone? Please enlighten doctor, thank you
1 Answer:
experienced by almost all women. Vaginal discharge is divided into physiological (normal) and pathological (abnormal) vaginal discharge. Normal vaginal discharge usually occurs due to the influence of hormones. Physiological vaginal discharge usually occurs before menstruation, during the fertile period and during pregnancy. This condition aims to protect your female area.
While the pap smear is an examination carried out to see the cells that make up your cervix. Through this examination, the nature of the cells in your cervix can be determined whether there are signs of malignancy or not. Pap smear examination is not 100 percent accurate but is very good for early detection of malignancies in the cervix. In addition, the Pap smear examination can also show the presence of polyps or abnormalities in the shape of the cervix. Uterine polyps are often asymptomatic, women usually know the presence of a policy when doing a Pap smear. However, pap smear examination alone can not see any infection that occurs in your female organs. You should return to see the doctor for further examination. Vaginal discharge that has occurred for several years should be examined further. The doctor will determine if a culture / examination of your vaginal discharge is needed to see if there are bacteria or parasites that are causing your vaginal discharge.
