Hello, thanks for your question.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a bacterium that causes tuberculosis infection in human organs such as lungs, lymph nodes, bones, skin, brain, urinary tract and digestive tract. The glandular tuberculosis you mentioned is a tuberculous infection of the lymph nodes.
Treatment of glandular tuberculosis can be started by giving antituberculosis drugs (OAT) given for 9-12 months. The drugs given are generally a combination of rifampicin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide, and ethambutol. In some cases the patient may receive a different combination of drugs or a different duration of treatment. Surgery may be chosen if OAT is not able to relieve glandular tuberculosis.
If you are currently on medication, it may take longer for treatment. Or the doctor will recommend surgery. However, this can only be confirmed by a doctor who treats your disease. For that, do not hesitate to ask about the complaints and concerns that you are experiencing. And discuss with your doctor about the treatment plan you will undergo.
