Treatment Of Swollen Testicles After A Month Of Varicocele Surgery?
Hello, greetings in good health ..rnSorry before I wanted to ask about the complaint, I was declared a varicocele and I had surgery on February 23, it’s been more than a month until now. The operation revealed that the left scrotum had fluid and lumps in it and 3 stitches were stitched. But now the left testicle is swollen and the texture feels firm but not painful. Was it a result of the operation? I’m 20 years old.rnrnThat’s it, thank you..
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Varicocele is a condition in which the veins in the scrotum (testicles) become swollen. The cause is not known for sure. However, many experts suspect this condition arises due to abnormalities in the veins themselves, namely abnormalities in the valves, which cause blood flow to reverse and trigger the appearance of lumps.
If not treated properly, swollen veins in the scrotum can cause the testes to be exposed to excessive heat which can interfere with spermatogenesis (sperm production). Therefore, doctors will generally perform surgery to overcome it.
Post-surgery, in fact, rarely dangerous complications will arise. Swelling that feels hard in the scrotum after surgery that you are experiencing may arise due to the following conditions:
Hypertrophic scars, keloids (formation of post-inflammatory scar tissue in surgical scars) Scrotal skin infections, for example due to fungi, bacteria Hydrocele (buildup of fluid around the testicles) Recurrent varicocele, etc. You can consult a doctor directly if you want to be sure. Through a direct physical evaluation, doctors can generally identify the origin of the swelling and determine whether there are any steps that need to be taken to treat it. If the complaint is purely due to the formation of postoperative scar tissue, this condition is generally harmless and does not require special treatment.
At this time, you should not hold on too much to the area of your surgery, let alone pressing on the swelling. Be diligent in bathing and cleaning the intimate organs, then wear clean and loose clothes.
Hope it helps ya..
