TT Injection Before Marriage?
Doctor, I’m currently preparing for a wedding in July 2019. Well, there happens to be a requirement from KUA to do a TT injection. The condition is, mid-2018 until the beginning of 2019 yesterday, I already did diphtheria injection stages 1,2, and 3. The question is, do I still need to do TT injection (for the purposes of this marriage)?

DPT immunization contains germs from diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus which are attenuated. This immunization is also included in the recommended immunization range for adults. Both the DPT and the TT vaccine both function to prevent tetanus during the process of pregnancy and postpartum. DPT vaccine durability lasts for approximately 10 years, so its use should be repeated if it has passed that time period. DPT and TT immunization are the same both in the prevention of tetanus and their use can be chosen one. DPT in Tdap form (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) can also be used during pregnancy in the second trimester, between the ages of 27 to 36 weeks. Unfortunately this vaccine is relatively more expensive than TT, so it is not recommended routinely. Similar to DPT immunization, there is a time span of giving TT injections while being pregnant. The gift was carried out 4-5 times within 1 month, 6 months to 1 year.
Related to your question, the use of TT vaccine can be done even though you have previously received the DPT vaccine. This can be used as a booster / booster of the immune system against the disease. If the TT injection requirement is mandatory, then you can carry it out without doubt.
Thus the information that I can convey, hopefully helps
