Twin Pregnancy But The Other Fetal Sac Does Not Develop?
Good morning. I am currently pregnant with my 3rd pregnancy. From HPHT, my obstetrical age is more or less already in the 5th week. I had a chance to see the doctor Sp.OG and he said there were 2 bags in my womb. I happen to be a twin. But the doctor said, one bag was wrinkled or not as developed as the other bag and I was told to control it for another 4 weeks. My question is, how do you make this wrinkled bag last and healthy? What should I consume or do? U003cbr u003eThank you very much
Twin pregnancy if there are more than 1 fetus in the womb. Sometimes twin pregnancies can be healthy until delivery. But sometimes miscarriages occur in one fetus or there is one fetus that does not develop / blighted ovum (may be associated with chromosomal abnormalities). This condition can later cause vanishing twin syndrome or twin fetuses that seem to disappear 1.
If this happens in trimester 1, it is likely that the developing fetus will be reabsorbed by the mother, placenta, or by a healthy fetus. If it occurs in trimester 1, a healthy fetus is expected to continue to develop until delivery and tends to be harmless.
If the fetus has not developed or miscarried, what can be done is to maintain a healthy fetus. Try to keep thinking positive. I suggest that you follow the advice of your obstetrician to come back for another 4 weeks to re-evaluate your fetal development.
While waiting for control, you should still consume healthy and nutritious food, get enough rest, try not to be tired, and consume pregnant supplements given by the doctor according to the doctor's recommendation.
Hope it helps you,
