Types Of Antibiotics?
I want to ask, I used to say that I am allergic to a drug called amoxilin / drug that has a product of siline. “Well, if the cefadroxil antibiotic drug is one product with amoxilin / other siline or not?
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Amoxicillin belongs to the penicillin group and cefadroxil belongs to the cephalosporin drug group, even though both are antibiotics. So the two drugs are different and if you are allergic to amoxicillin, not necessarily you are allergic to cefadroxil.
Regarding this, what you need to pay attention to is that although it is different, there is a possibility that you are allergic to this drug. Therefore you still have to be vigilant in its use, if there are symptoms that appear, immediately return to the doctor to be examined.
Then, whether you are allergic or not, we need to remind you that antibiotics are not free drugs, and should only be used after clear indications are obtained from a doctor's examination. Therefore, if you get it without going through a doctor's examination first, you should not consume it because its use unwise can result in bacterial resistance or immunity which causes a disease that is even more difficult to cure. So, hopefully answering your question.
