Typhus Never Healed Despite Treatment?
hello .. thank you for answering my previous questions related to the type that I experienced. I have followed the doctor’s advice. I am still recovering from typhus (it seems) like I read it, it doesn’t immediately make me feel good … dizzy and tired, I still feel it. sometimes there is even deep heat or feeling like burning in the arm. It has been a month since the recovery, then I started to try to eat heavy rice, soy sauce minced chicken as usual. and back to work … but I felt tired and dizzy again on the fourth day. Even though I sleep at 10 and wake up at 8:30, after I get ready and get to the office, I feel sleepy and dizzy … should I sleep again? because the office gives an option to leave unpaid 1 or 2 months … sorry I keep asking. I happened to work in Malaysia, before I was caught typing I went to a number of doctors and hospitals around 4 doctors including being referred to ENT and brain specialists … the doctors I visited were not able to diagnose me even though I had a full blood test … this made me go back to Indonesia to the doctor and to bedrest. because from any food in my area it is difficult to find soft and delivery. the doctor I last visited during the last recovery yesterday only treated one typhoid fever patient per year … he gave me salt to be mixed with water, redoxon, and poro tablets for fever. is this really a symptom of recovery? should I be back longer? or is it okay while working? do you still have to eat soft? how long will it take to fully recover? I do not smoke and I am 29. I work at a computer in the Petaling Jaya area. My work and hours have been reduced. but still doesn’t feel fresh. I have a friend after typing after 2 weeks of forced work and heavy eating everywhere, then they are fine … if I feel like I want to relapse, thank you … thanks
Hello, thanks for the question.
Typhoid fever or typhus is an infection of the digestive tract by bacteria Salmonella typhii which can be transmitted quickly, generally through the consumption of food or drinks that have been contaminated with feces containing Salmonella typhii bacteria. Symptoms that arise can be in the form of fever that increases gradually each day to reach 39 ° C-40 ° C, rises at night and falls in the morning, muscle aches, headaches, fatigue and weakness, sweating, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, diarrhea or constipation, appearing white on the skin in the form of small pink spots, etc. Symptoms of typhus will generally improve after administration of adequate antibiotic therapy, but in some cases can last up to 1 month. In some cases, the symptoms of typhus can improve and then recur again a week after the end of antibiotic treatment, this is called a case of relapse. For this condition, you should consult your doctor again, usually the doctor will again prescribe antibiotics for up to 28 days, even though the symptoms are not as severe as before. The doctor will probably do a re-examination, blood tests, feces / stool, etc. to confirm the complaint. Bed rest or rest should be done up to 1 week free of fever, if the fever is gone, antibiotic treatment has been completed, and complaints of the digestive tract are not too prominent, light activity or work may be done, as long as it is not excessive until the condition of the body is fully restored. The patient's condition will usually recover fully after a few weeks post-infection. Apabil after a few weeks of infection, the complaint is still felt you should try to eat porridge first, if the complaints improve, try changing slowly with plain rice. The duration of this healing process is different for each person depending on endurance and one's health status. We recommend that you get enough rest, eat regularly, eat in small portions, but in a fairly frequent frequency, drink plenty of water, wash hands with soap, especially after coming from the bathroom to reduce the risk of spreading infection, avoid processing, cooking, and serving good food for yourself, or others.
Thus, hopefully it helps.
