Upper Arm Pain To The Back Only Appears At Night?
Excuse me, good afternoon, I have a complaint with the arm of my left hand and appears only at night, often the pain also radiates to the lower ribs, if it’s morning the pain has disappeared. Is this a sign of an internal disorder or disease such as nerve pain, heart, lung or something like that? Thank you, please answer
Pain in the upper arm can be caused by many things. Most often the pain is caused due to muscle pain. Muscle aches can be caused by overactivity, injury to muscles (tears, etc.), muscle spasms. Arm pain can also be caused by abnormalities of the shoulder joint such as frozen shoulder or shoulder dislocation (if there is a clear history of trauma). Other causes of pain can be due to bone abnormalities in the upper arm, an infection in the joints or subcutaneous tissue around the upper arm, and so on.
If the abnormality comes from the heart, there will usually be other complaints that are more typical such as chest pain such as heavy pressure, tightness, pain that radiates to the left arm or jaw and neck, heart palpitations, and so on. Complaints due to abnormalities of the lung are usually coughing, shortness of breath, chest pain, and so on. Diseases related to nerves, usually cause a tingling sensation / such as shock that spreads in the arm, can be followed by motor disturbances (weakness in the arms is difficult to move) or sensory (numbness of the arm).
It is difficult to determine the exact cause of complaints of upper arm pain without a direct physical examination on the patient. Some things you can do to reduce pain are:
Consumption of pain relievers Avoid strenuous activities using the arm Pay attention to the position during sleep, avoid lying toward the affected arm Performing stretching or light massage on the affected arm area Consumption of food with balanced nutrition You need to see a doctor if the pain is more frequent appears (not only at night), appears red or swollen in the arm area, there are complaints of shortness of breath, numbness in the arm or difficulty moving the arm.
Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
