Use Of 2 Gout Medicines Together?
To treat gout, is it “safe” to take both drugs together?
Hello Tri Juli Prasetyo, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
The drug meloxicam and allopurinol do not have drug interactions either minor, moderate or major, so it can be said that the use of oats together is relatively safe. It is recommended to take the medicine after eating. It is better if you take the medicine according to doctor's orders. Allopurinol itself should not be taken when there is joint pain (due to deposits of uric acid crystals in the joints), but taken when there is no joint pain but blood uric acid exceeds normal and dietary restriction efforts are not able to reduce optimally.
In addition to taking these drugs as directed by your doctor, it is advisable to drink water at least 2 liters per day and reduce fried / oil consumption.
A few of our suggested answers, hopefully useful.
