Use Of Disposable Diapers On Newborns?
Assallamualaikum? My baby is only 2 weeks old from birth and has been given pempers, now at the age of 2 weeks there are boils / small red bumps easily on the buttocks (sorry if the use of harsh language) is this like an allergy or due to the use of pempers huh ??
Hello Nho Vi Tha ... Thank you for the question.
The use of pampers or disposable diapers sometimes feels effective for parents because they don't have to change diapers every time a child pees and is more efficient when he has to travel. but keep in mind the child's skin condition. Because redness on the buttocks of children can occur due to several things, including:
Diaper rush / diaper rash - skin appears reddish especially the thigh area, groin, and buttocks Allergic reaction Skin infection If redness still persists you should stop using pampers in children for a while. In the meantime you compress the reddish part with a cold cloth also functions to reduce the itching. You can also evaluate whether your child is allergic to one brand of pampers and can try another brand. Meanwhile, if a child becomes fussy, fever, redness becomes spots and festering, then immediately check the child to a pediatrician to get a direct examination. It's also a good idea to use soap and clothing for children who don't irritate the skin.
