Use Of Gentamicin Ointment After Laser Circumcision?
I want to ask..doctor..is Genoint ointment..can be used after laser circumcision????what are the side effects???thank you
Genoint is a trademark of a cream containing the antibiotic gentamicin. Gentamycin topical antibiotic is usually used to treat infections that occur on the skin which are usually characterized by pain to suppuration. Some people also use this cream as a prevention of infection, in sterile wounds such as sutures after removal of benign tumors or in circumcision wounds. Thus, regarding your question, in practice in the field this cream has been widely used on circumcision wounds as infection prevention. However, we advise you to be even more sure, by first consulting the doctor where the circumcision procedure was carried out. Laser circumcision tends to reduce the risk of infection because the wound dries quickly and usually doesn't really need an antibiotic cream. Here we attach an article about circumcision treatment. Hope it is useful.
