Use Propolis To Treat Abrasions And Asphalt?
a week ago I crashed from a motorcycle. My right hand and knee of my right foot were scratched by the asphalt of the road. now it still hurts and I apply propolis. Is the method that I use is correct? and whether the type of scar that can be lost on the hands?
Propolis is a greenish-brown sticky compound produced by bees. Bee propolis is used to repair gaps in its hive. So far, propolis is believed to be a herbal remedy. Research on propolis is also quite a lot done. One of the effects of propolis that has been investigated is its antioxidant and antibacterial or antiseptic effects. But of course this still requires research on a larger scale and long term. If you use propolis, make sure you use a propolis product that has been registered with BPOM and use it according to the recommended use on the packaging.
As for abrasions, to improve faster you can do some tips on treating abrasions as follows:
Clean the wound with running water or with NaCl liquid
Dry the wound with sterile gauze
Apply the wound medicine or antibiotic ointment from the doctor
If small blisters leave open, but if you are at risk of getting dirty or exposed to dust or at risk of being scratched by clothes, you can cover the wound with sterile gauze, be careful when opening the gauze / bandage.
Keep the wound dry
Consumption of nutritious foods and high in protein
Do not scratch or scratch the wound that starts to dry
Avoid sun exposure to help prevent scarring
Related to scars, if only blackish scars can fade over time. You can use a scar cream after the wound has completely healed, use a scrub to help remove dead skin cells, or use a lightening lotion. But if the scar is in the form of scar tissue or even keloid, further treatment is needed by the doctor to overcome it.
Hope it helps you,
