Use Shoes When Treating Fungal Infections Of The Nails?
, I want to ask, my left thumb nail is stiff, then I was given a dermatologist’s prescription to use Loprox Nail Lacquer 3 times a week, what I want to ask is whether after being given Laprox Nail the nails can be exposed to water and can I use shoes?
Hello Dimas123, Thank you for the question.
Loprox is a topical nail medication that contains ciclopirox which works to treat nail fungus. Apply this medication to all areas of the nail affected by fungal infusion by using an available applicator to reach the skin around the nail. This medicine is also applied as much as possible to the area under the nail if the applicator can indeed reach the area under the nail. Do not apply this medicine to the skin in other areas. After using it, you are advised to wait for the medicine to dry, approximately 30 seconds before you wear socks or shoes. You are also not recommended to wet the area until 8 hours later. Every 7 days, you are advised to clean the drug from the nails with alcohol and then cut the nails before re-applying this drug. Use this medicine in accordance with doctor's advice and if complaints still occur after completing treatment, please you immediately go back to see a doctor.
I hope this helps.
