Vaccination For 18 Year Olds?
I am 18 years old Costa. I want to ask about vaccines, my mother said I was not vaccinated because I lacked knowledge about vaccines. So can an 18 year old be vaccinated against various diseases?
Hi Costa, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Vaccination is the process of injecting small organisms that have been killed or at least weakened in the body, so that the body can form immunity against a certain disease. There are various kinds of vaccines, some of which must be owned by Indonesian citizens because they are determined by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, namely polio, MMR, DTP, hepatitis B and BCG vaccines. If you didn't get it when you were little, then you must get it now.
As for other vaccines, such as influenza, pneumococcal, HPV, hepatitis A and so on, they are recommended and it would be better if you get them, but if you don't, that's fine too. That's all, hope it helps.
