Not only is it itchy and produces abnormal secretions, it could also be that a yeast infection in the vagina causes the vagina to smell bad, experience excessive vaginal discharge, redness, scales, and feels uncomfortable, especially during sexual intercourse. Several species of fungi can cause vaginal infections, but the most common is Candida sp.

In addition to a yeast infection, complaints in your vagina can also occur due to other causes, for example:

Doctors can also do some supporting tests, such as taking vaginal secretions, urine tests, to find out the cause and the best treatment for your complaint. If it is true that the cause is fungus, then the doctor will give you the right anti-fungal medication to improve the complaint.
