Visible Blue And Red Light When Looking At White Light In Nearsighted People?
Hello doctor. I’m 22 years old. I want to ask about my eyes. so I use minus and cylindrical glasses from 6th grade until now, but I didn’t know before that there was a problem with blue and red light when I looked at the lamp or reflected light from the projector. I only recently realized that because when I saw the reflection of the projector light on the whiteboard and I accidentally looked away, I was surprised why there was blue and red light along with white light. as well as when I try to see the lights. it’s not often, but it makes me a little afraid there is a serious problem with my eyes because I spend a lot of time in front of the laptop screen and often stay up late to design.. now my eyes are R -3.00 / -0.75 and L -1, 00 /-1.00.. is this a serious problem or just eye fatigue? please help..thank you in advance
Hi Gita.. Thank you for the questions given.
First of all, I need to explain that eye complaints should be examined directly by an ophthalmologist. The doctor will perform a visual acuity examination, examining the front to the back of the eye with a small instrument such as a flashlight. From the results of the examination, a diagnosis can be made and appropriate treatment can be carried out.
Complaints like the ones you describe can be caused by:
increase your minus or cylinder. The use of glasses with minus or cylinders that do not fit can cause dizziness, fatigue, headaches.
eye fatigue due to prolonged use of the eye without rest. You may feel: blurred or ghosted vision, sore eyes, itching, more sensitivity to light.
Glaucoma. Glaucoma can occur due to an increase in the eyeball. Symptoms of glaucoma include: nausea, eye pain, redness, visual disturbances
In the meantime what you can do:
Avoid looking at the screen of your cellphone, laptop, or television for too long
If you feel tired, rest your eyes first and then resume your activities
Avoid rubbing your eyes too much
To avoid dry eyes, you can reduce your eyes from being exposed to the wind or air conditioning directly
Hope it is useful
