Vision Is Uncomfortable After Wearing Glasses?
Hello, I’m beautiful, age 27. I want to ask, I currently use -5.00 glasses and cylinder 1 (left and right), I happen to use a new minus lens for less than 5 days. Before I used glasses with my minus -4.75 without a cylinder (for ± 2th). During the wearing of these new glasses I felt dizzy and the road was wavy. when tested with the lens, I was more comfortable and chose to use a lens with -5.00 cylinder 1 (left and right). According to the doctor, was my decision wrong? so that it makes my eyesight uncomfortable? What is the doctor’s advice for my problem? Thank you
Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
Inspection with a tool to estimate the size of the lens lens strength as you mean it might refer to the autorefractor examination. In this examination, a tool that can estimate the strength of the lens needed to focus the light right on the retina of the eye is used.
Examination with an autorefractor is actually quite accurate and reliable. However, the results given are only estimates. If you have a manual vision check using Snellen and lens diagrams, then you get different lens strength but you feel more comfortable and help improve your vision, it is recommended to use the results of the manual examination.
If the lens you are using is still uncomfortable and you still experience sharp visual disturbances, do not hesitate to have yourself checked by a doctor or ophthalmologist. The doctor will re-evaluate the strength of the lens that is suitable for correcting the refraction of light in your eyes.
