Vitamins For Pregnant Women
Doc, can vitamin Prita Vit be consumed by pregnant women?
Hello Firdha, Thank you for the question.
Pregnant women need nutrition, including vitamins and minerals, which are enough to help the growth and development of the fetus in the womb. Basically, vitamins, minerals, and other nutritional intake can be obtained from daily food consumption. However, even so, there is the potential for pregnant women to lack nutrition so they must take vitamin and mineral supplements. Some of the most important vitamins and minerals for pregnant women are:
folic acid, to prevent defects in the baby's nervous system
vitamin D and calcium, to help the growth of fetal bones
iron, to help the formation of red blood cells and help the growth of the fetus
In addition to the above vitamins and minerals, pregnant women also require intake of vitamin B6, vitamin C, zinc, and copper. Pritavit is a vitamin supplement containing vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, nicotinamide (vitamin B3 derivatives), and vitamin C. This vitamin supplement can be consumed by pregnant women but beforehand, you are still advised to consult with your obstetrician first so your doctor can examine you first before determining which nutrition you need the most. In the meantime, please try to continue to consume balanced nutritious foods that contain carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals regularly.
I hope this helps.
