I am a 19-year-old woman, active smoker and ulcer sufferer. Last night at around 9 I ate rice box, at 12 I slept then around 3:30 in the morning I suddenly woke up with nausea and then vomited. What happened? What can I do before going to the doctor?

1 Answer:

Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. The symptoms of vomiting that you experience can occur due to various possibilities, it could be due to a history of heartburn that you have, it could be due to food poisoning, food allergies, digestive tract infections, and colds.

For heartburn, you need to know is the trigger can be due to smoking, stress, consumption of spicy, sour, oily foods, coffee consumption, sleeping too fast after eating, eating too much and having excess weight. From your story, there are already two factors that can be potential triggers for heartburn, namely a history of active smoking, and eating rice boxes, if the food inside is spicy, sour and or oily.

Our advice, for initial treatment you can take over-the-counter ulcer drugs by reading the rules of use listed, consumption of warm water, compress the stomach with warm compresses, avoid coffee consumption, and if the complaints persist, consult a doctor. So, hopefully answering your question.
