Vomiting Of People With Gastric Inflammation?
Hello doctor, yesterday I was examined. the doctor said I had gastric ulcer, sick from Tuesday and only today I vomited vomit. I throw up once an hour from 6,7,8,9,10,11 where at 8 it looks pink (like fresh blood) even though I haven’t eaten anything, and at 10.11 there are patches … Do I have to go back for consultation?
Hello Dawn, Thank you for the question.
Gastric inflammation or gastritis is inflammation of the stomach wall caused by damage to the gastric mucosa lining by stomach acid. This condition can cause symptoms that vary in each patient, which includes:
heartburn that feels sore or hot
easy to feel full
BAB with black stool
Vomiting of blood that occurs can be caused by erosion of the stomach lining by stomach acid which causes sores and bleeding in the stomach wall. If you experience vomiting continuously or vomiting of blood in increasing numbers, you should consult with your doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately. The doctor will re-examine you before determining the next treatment. If the symptoms of vomiting do not stop and you have difficulty maintaining food and drink intake, your doctor will usually recommend hospitalization so that administration of drugs and intravenous fluids can be given until your condition is restored.
In the future, you are encouraged to modify your lifestyle. You should avoid consuming spicy, greasy, fatty foods, avoid consuming caffeinated, fizzy, and alcoholic drinks, avoid consuming non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) without doctor's advice, managing stress well, and avoiding smoking.
Hopefully this information is useful.
