Ways To Transmit Hiv Aids?
Since I found out that my neighbor has HIV, I feel scared and it’s hard to sleep at night, I don’t have an appetite and feel weak, am I also infected with HIV?
Good morning Ana, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. HIV or human immunodeficiency virus is a virus that causes diseases that lower the body's immune system. With a decreased immune system, people infected with this virus will be much more susceptible to disease and are characterized by symptoms of canker sores, diarrhea, or cough that lasts a long time. Unfortunately, until now, there is no cure for this disease.
HIV is transmitted through sexual intercourse, injection needles, blood transfusions, or from mother to child during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. HIV is not transmitted through tears, sweat, air and touch. So in your case, as long as you don't feel that you are doing or doing something that increases the risk of getting infected through the transmission routes that we mentioned earlier, even if your neighbor has HIV, you will not necessarily get HIV from your neighbor.
As for the feeling of weakness, lack of appetite, and difficulty sleeping at night, this can occur due to other conditions, it could be due to anxiety about something, excessive panic, lack of red blood cells or so on. If you are already feeling disturbed, consult a doctor for further treatment. What is clear, if HIV will not be contracted just like that so if you never feel you have a high risk of contracting it through the channels we mention, you can rest easy. I hope you and your family are always healthy.
That's all, hope it helps.
