Wear Minus Glasses More Than You Should?
, I want to ask, I have been wearing minus glasses left -1.25 and right 0.25 for almost 6 months, since I tried to check the minus again, then minus left only 0.75 according to the doctor, but so far I have used minus 1.25 and I don’t feel dizzy whether it’s better to continue using which is 1.25 for being clearer? Or reduced?
Hello Anisa, thank you for using the HealthReplies.com service.
When using glasses with negative spherical lenses, the eye disorder is called myopia or nearsightedness. Myop has risk factors such as family (offspring of myopia), reading too much, and lack of time to move outside the home.
In principle, myopia is corrected by using the smallest negative spherical lens which gives the clearest picture so that the image does not fall behind the retina so that the eyes do not get tired when using glasses due to continuous accommodation. For example, if your vision is clear by using a -0.75 lens and a -1.25 lens then the lens that should be used is the smallest negative spherical lens, which is -0.75. If it is still unclear, check with your eye specialist immediately so that you can re-examine the sharpness of vision so that you can be given glasses that are the right size for your eyes.
As for the things you can do right now to overcome nearsightedness:
Control chronic health conditions, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. No smoking Regular exercise Reducing eye fatigue when using gadgets Not reading under dark lighting Consuming nutritious foods, increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables (especially those rich in Vitamin A). Such information that I can provide, hopefully can help you.
