Weight Gain Food For Children Aged 7 Months?
Hello doctor, I want to ask, my child is 7 months and a half, every month his BB goes up a little now. His BB is only 6.2 kg month? Thank you☺️
Wa'alaikumsallam Irma, thank you for asking.
Infants aged 7 months have entered the period of consumption of MPASI. Consumption of MPASI in the form of thick porridge or crushed food. MPASI is given about 2-3 times a day. Increase the amount of food slowly until it reaches 250 ml. Breast milk should still be given, because 50% of the baby's nutritional needs are still obtained from breast milk. Give ASI according to the baby's will. If your milk is not too much, you might try to give formula milk that is suitable.
Measuring a baby's weight is not as simple as measuring an adult's body weight. The baby's body weight must be adjusted according to gender, age, and body length. Assessment of the nutritional status of children depends on this. Generally the normal growth curve is adopted from WHO by IDAI. Consult with your pediatrician regularly to find out if your child's growth and development is within the normal range. The doctor will suggest any type of food that can help increase weight. Make sure you have enough milk. Keep carbohydrates, protein, and fat in foods in balanced levels. Do not give snacks in the form of commercial snacks because they can provide a sense of fullness so that children refuse to drink breast milk and eat. Give snacks in the form of fruit or vegetables.
Thus my short information, hopefully you can be helped. Regards.
