I lose weight steadily, if I think it might be due to my drastic decrease in appetite and maybe a thought factor. So, to overcome this, is there any suggestion for me to increase my appetite, and my body weight to go up and down again. I am losing weight gradually but steadily, please advise. A little info, I have a problem with stomach acid and my weight loss as well as my appetite, I experienced it after I had an accident 1 year ago. Does it have something to do with it or not?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Psychological trauma or physical injury due to an accident can affect a person's appetite. However, in addition, there are various other conditions that can also cause decreased appetite, including:
Dyspepsia (increased stomach acid), including those triggered by GERD, gastritis, pancreatitis --- This condition can cause you to always feel full, bloated, and so that your appetite decreases drastically. Psychological stress, such as depression, excessive anxiety Infection, for example ARI, gingivitis, giardiasis, hepatitis, typhoid fever, HIV-AIDS, Tuberculosis Other digestive disorders, for example colitis, cancer, malabsorption, intolerance, appendicitis Hormonal changes, for example in early pregnancy, before menstruation Thyroid gland disorders Impaired liver function, for example due to hepatitis, alcoholism, cancer or other chronic diseases, etc. Decreased appetite can cause your nutritional intake to decrease drastically. If not treated adequately, of course, your weight can continue to decrease.

If so, you should not delay going to the doctor immediately. A thorough evaluation is needed, including laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasound, or other supporting tests tailored to the suspicion of the originator of your complaint. If necessary, you may be referred to a specialist in internal medicine to receive complete treatment.
In the meantime, you should fight against your decreased appetite. Appetite is firmly controlled by the mind. Always form positive thoughts so that you will be more excited and your appetite will increase. Do activities that you enjoy, such as doing hobbies, recreation, socializing with friends, and so on. Create a varied food menu every day. Make sure the food you eat has a high nutritional value. Also balance these dietary patterns with regular exercise, regular rest, and always live a healthy lifestyle.
Hope it helps ..
