Weight Loss When Fasting At 8 Months Of Gestation?
Morning. I want to ask. Currently 8 months pregnant. And is fasting. The last time I was in control (last week) I lost one kilo of weight, even though before that every month I always gained 3-4 kg. However, the fetal weight continued to increase and did not decrease. Is it okay for me to keep fast? thank you
Fasting in the month of Ramadan is an obligation for all Muslims. For some conditions, for example pregnant women, pregnant women are given leniency in fasting. Medically, pregnant women are allowed to fast as long as their pregnancy conditions are good, the mother's weight and the fetus are good, the mother adopts a healthy lifestyle, and pregnant women are strong enough to fast.
If after fasting you experience weight loss, you should first consult with your gynecologist about your desire to fast. If needed, the doctor can provide additional supplements to support your condition and the fetus.
Here are some tips on fasting during pregnancy that you can apply:
Fulfill your fluid and nutritional needs during pregnancy by drinking at least 8 glasses of water / day and eating healthy and nutritious foods at dawn and breaking the fast. Reduce caffeine consumption. Get enough rest. Pregnant women can still be active, but try to keep the body from wasting too much energy during fasting , do not walk too far, and do not carry objects too heavy Avoid consuming foods or drinks with high sugar levels at dawn and breaking the fast Eat slowly Manage stress well Try to keep the room cool to prevent dehydration The following articles relate to the topic of your question:
