What Causes Asymmetrical Faces?
I want to ask. Why are my left and right faces different? The left lip is higher and the left eye is slightly smaller. What are the contributing factors? Why do I speak normally as if my lips tend to the left? How to treat it? Thank you in advance 🙂
Perfect symmetry between the left and right in the human body is very rare, as is the shape of the face where between the left and right can tend to be slightly asymmetrical. However, if there is a facial muscle movement disorder, sudden, or new, it is necessary to watch out for Bell's palsy. Bell's palsy is a paralysis of the nerves that function to move facial muscles caused by inflammation. The exact cause is unknown, some are thought to be caused by a viral infection, pinching, or inflammation due to other causes. Symptoms of Bell's palsy are paralysis of the affected facial muscles on one side, namely:
Unable to frown.
Unable to close eyelids tightly.
Unable to puff out cheeks.
Unable to widen lips (smile).
Pain and ringing in the ear on the paralyzed side of the face.
Mouth drooling easily.
Tears come out easily.
Decreased sense of taste.
To be sure, you should immediately consult a doctor, especially if accompanied by any of the above symptoms.
