What Causes Bumps Of Lips?
Dear HealthReplies.com. My lips have been bumping for a few small bumps. I don’t use lipstick because I have been at home for a few days but I always use lip balm. I have been using lip balm for a few months and I have no problem. After the first bump appeared, I replaced my lip balm product with a new one. The bumps heal but other bumps arise. It looks like it contains blood but doesn’t hurt or itch. I can’t stop using lip balm because fasting causes my lips to dry. Actually what is bump and what is the cause? Is it dangerous? Thank you in advance.
Good evening, thanks for the question
Lumps or bumps on the lips can cause complaints of pain or discomfort in the sufferer, but not all cases are dangerous.
Some underlying causes include:
1. Allergic reaction
2. Herpes simplex
3. Fungal infections in the mouth
4. Hand foot and mouth disease
8. Dry lips
9. Insect bites
To be able to determine the exact cause is needed a direct examination by a doctor to assess the lump, because it is quite difficult to estimate the cause without a direct examination. Some additional tests may be needed in some cases, such as blood tests, x-rays, to tissue biopsy. Appropriate treatment will also adjust to the underlying cause after the diagnosis is made from previous examinations.
The following steps can be taken at home to reduce complaints, including:
1. Clean your face with warm water
2. Avoid temporary use of cosmetics or face creams
3. Avoid pressing or squeezing bumps
4. Keep the oral cavity clean
5. Consume more water
6. Use natural lip products
That's all, hope you can help.
